How to Store Sealed Product So It Stays Mint

A sealed box only stays valuable if it stays in good condition. Most damage happens slowly, in storage, so a few habits go a long way.
1. Keep it out of the sun
UV light fades box art quickly, even through a window. Store boxes in a closet or a closed cabinet.
2. Control heat and humidity
Attics, garages and basements swing in temperature and humidity, which can warp cards inside the packs. A room you would be comfortable sitting in is the right environment. A cheap hygrometer helps; aim for moderate, steady humidity.
3. Use acrylic or box protectors
Plastic box protectors and acrylic cases stop corner dings and keep dust off the shrink wrap. They are inexpensive compared with the value they protect.
4. Don’t over-stack
Heavy stacks crush the boxes at the bottom. Store boxes upright like books or keep stacks short.
5. Keep the paperwork
Keep your receipt and a photo of each box when it arrives. It makes insurance and resale much easier.
